I did not spend a lot of time in the kitchen growing up. Other than the annual Christmas cookie making and the occasional help with the green-bean casserole at Thanksgiving, I never had an interest in learning to cook. In college I managed to survive off of pizza, ramen, and fun-nuggets. Over the last few years, my love for cooking and creating has grown tremendously. It has become a creative outlet for me, and it has been fun to experiment and share my results with my friends and family.
My methods used to drive Marcus crazy. He would watch me use a “pinch of this” or a “scoop of that” and ask me nicely if I thought it might be a good idea to actually measure things… nahhhhhhh 🙂 Now, I would say he enjoys about 90% of what I cook (As long as it doesn’t include cilantro or okra… he really hates those foods), so he lets me be my reckless self in the kitchen.
This is my attempt to document more of my experimentations. To actually measure (whaaaaaaaaaaaat) and record what I’m throwing in a pan. And so I can actually have a valid reason for taking 500 pictures of everything I cook (It’s for my blog!!!). I try to eat healthy-ish…. but I am definitely a fan of butter, sugar, and bread, so you should find plenty of that on here.
Thanks for stopping by!!
